Denmark opens its embassy in the Republic of Moldova. The Copenhagen Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said in joint statements with Nicu Popescu that the institution will also become a platform to assist our country in the EU accession process.

Nicu Popescu referred to bilateral relations and trade. According to him, 37 companies with Danish capital operate in the Republic of Moldova, their cumulative investments amounting to 66 million lei.

“The opening of the Danish Embassy in Chisinau will also be a better platform to assist you in your journey towards the EU and a platform to intensify our bilateral relations,” the Danish official said.

Lars Løkke Rasmussen is in Moldova for the third time. The official says he is always pleased to return to the Republic of Moldova and announced that Denmark will support our country with a €6 million support package, including money that will be used for accession reforms.
