Moldova’s citizens are poised to reap the rewards of convenient air travel with the approval of direct flights between Moldova and the United Kingdom. Today, the cabinet gave its nod to the Agreement on Air Services between the governments of Moldova and the United Kingdom, a milestone document inked in London on January 22, 2024, as reported by the government’s communication department.
This agreement marks a significant stride in bolstering diplomatic and economic ties between Moldova and the United Kingdom, while also fostering a more favorable investment climate. Furthermore, the expansion of air traffic promises tangible benefits for consumers, including enhanced service quality, competitive fares, and reduced travel times.
Moldova’s commitment to such agreements is evident, with existing accords in place with 21 countries and a growing trajectory in this regard.

Also, a new airline started its operations at Chisinau International Airport on Wednesday. It is Georgian Wings, which will operate flights from the Moldovan capital to Tbilisi.
