The European Union will provide €9 million to Moldova to purchase air defense systems. The country’s Defense Ministry reported.
“Moldova requested this assistance in the context of risks and threats caused by the war in Ukraine. As part of the assistance, Moldova will receive air defense systems. They will be purchased and delivered according to the schedule agreed with the EU.
Thanks to the support, the ministry can better protect civilian infrastructure and the population in crisis and emergencies,” the ministry said in a statement.
