Moldovan wrestler Radu Lefter qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris

Freestyle wrestler Radu Lefter has qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris. The Sports Training Center for the national teams reported this.

“European champion in the age category U-23 Radu Lefter has qualified for the Olympic Games. The Sports Center for the preparation of national teams congratulates Radu and his coaches – Roman Dermenzhi and Boris Sava – on this success,” reads the message of the sports center.

The International Wrestling Federation allocated him a quota after the decision against several Russian and Belarusian wrestlers who were not allowed to participate in the competition.

Radu Lefter won a gold medal at the European Championships in wrestling among athletes under 23. Baku hosted the competition.
