“The Kremlin has turned this war into a war against children. Such a lack of humanity and disregard for human life are everything we stand against.” It is the first reaction of Moldovan President Maia Sandu to the Russian attack on a children’s hospital in Ukraine.
Shaken by Russia’s attack on a children’s hospital in Kyiv. This hospital, which has saved thousands of children, now lies in ruins.

The head of state also came with a message on Facebook.
“War against children – we must call a spade a spade about what happened today in Kyiv, about Russia’s bombing of a hospital for children suffering from incurable diseases. The killing of children is not about ideology, geopolitics, or political debates. It is about innocent children, about bombs hitting hospitals where little ones are fighting cancer. It is about children dying in their mothers’ arms. It’s a war on children. It is shocking that some still deny these atrocities. Moldova strongly condemns these war crimes. Let us stand united for the right to life of these children and the many children traumatized in war for a future where every child has the chance to live in peace and well-being. Today’s world is different from the one before February 2022 – we must focus on what matters: stopping the killing of these innocent souls,” the head of state also wrote on Facebook.
