We expect you in Slobozia Mare, Cahul district, on August 10, where the 3rd edition of the Festival “BelEU Fest” will take place on the shores of Lake Beleu, in the heart of the biosphere reserve “Prutul de Jos,” under the motto “United in Diversity.” The event will start with a parade of folk costumes presented by several folklore collectives from different regions of the country, including ethnic minorities.
The event promotes local traditions, European values, and cultural diversity. The BelEU Fest will address topics such as environmental protection, sustainability, and the development of tourism, and the discussions will be open to anyone who wants to participate, as the event is free of charge for everyone.
All the guests of the day could admire the works at the Craftsmen’s Fair in the country South. Visitors will be able to take part in interactive craft workshops to learn more about local traditions. The BelEU Fest will host a painting and a European investment exhibition, both open to the general public.

Gourmets could indulge in local gastronomic delicacies prepared by the skilled housewives of Slobozia Mare and participate in a workshop on how to create a 100-year-old sewing workshop. The evening will culminate with a popular and modern music concert by well-known artists.

The BelEU Fest is organized by AO “Institutum Virtutes Civilis” and funded by the Soros Foundation Moldova, co-financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in partnership with the Slobozia Mare City Hall, the Ministry of Culture and the Cahul District Council.
