Ukraine and Moldova are preparing to build a bridge across the Dniester River

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers decided to establish a joint Ukrainian-Moldovan commission to construct a bridge over the Dniester in the Yampol-Koseutz region, announced Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

“This will be a key link of the transport corridor between Kyiv and Chisinau,” Shmygal said.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal noted that systematic renovation of checkpoints on the border with Moldova continues with the support of USAID and the European Union.

In 2023, the Verkhovna Rada ratified an agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Moldova to construct a road border bridge crossing the Dniester River near the settlements of Yampol and Koseutz.

Ukraine will allocate $121m for the construction of the bridge.
