The capital will host the World Armwrestling and Para-Armwrestling Championships. The event will attract 1,500 athletes

The 45th World Armwrestling Championship and the 26th World Para-Armwrestling Championship will be in Chisinau from August 15 to 25. The Republic of Moldova’s National Sports Federation of Armwrestling (FNSARM) will host the Championship in partnership with the Chisinau City Hall. It will welcome over 1,500 competitors, officials, and supporters from over 60 participating countries.

“The World Championship of Armwrestling and Para-Armwrestling is part of the Municipal Program for Co-financing Projects for Sport and Other Local and International Sports Activities of the Chisinau City Hall. The event will put Chisinau on the international sports map and promote the values of inclusion, diversity, and unity through sport. The competition will provide a platform for athletes to showcase their talent, determination, and team spirit,” reads a Chisinau City Hall press release.

Schedule:

Every competition day check-in opens at 9:30.
Everyday competition starts at 10:00.
