Moldovan citizens will experience simplified procedures for converting their driving licenses in an additional EU country

Moldova and Greece will mutually recognize each other’s driving licenses. The government will approve the agreement on Wednesday, September 4, and then submit it to Parliament.

Once the authorities complete the formalities and implement the new regulations, drivers will no longer need to pass practical and theoretical exams to convert their licenses. The government aims to eliminate bureaucratic barriers for citizens living, working, or traveling between the two countries and to simplify road traffic.

Republica Moldova has signed five additional agreements for the mutual recognition of driving licenses. Similar agreements exist with Turkey, Lithuania, Italy, Albania, and Spain.
