Ukraine has offered to send aid to Moldova, Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic to help address the aftermath of the torrential rains. President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked Foreign Minister Andrii Sibiga to propose the support of Ukrainian rescue teams to these countries.
On Sunday evening, the leader of Kyiv stated that unfavorable conditions have led to critical situations in neighboring countries. Additionally, Ukrainian officials extended their condolences to those who have lost loved ones due to the heavy rainfall.
“We express our condolences for the loss of lives and the destruction caused by the floods in Central Europe. Our thoughts are with all the affected communities. We wish our neighbors a swift recovery from this natural disaster,” wrote Sibiga on his Twitter account.

Following the floods in Galati, Romania, six people have lost their lives. Additionally, the water has engulfed cars and animals and caused significant damage to residents.
In Moldova, IGSU firefighters responded to 110 cases of pumping water from basements and households and cleared fallen trees in 67 situations. The severe weather damaged 31 national public roads, and flooding affected 21 routes.
