The Government approved an agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses issued in Moldova and France

Moldova and France will mutually recognize driving licenses issued from 2020 onward. The Moldovan government has approved the agreement with France on the mutual exchange of driving licenses, signed in Paris on July 12, 2024. The government’s communication department reported about it.

This agreement expands the list of countries that recognize Moldovan driving licenses based on reciprocity, allowing drivers in both countries to drive legally without needing additional tests.

Moldova has also signed mutual recognition agreements with Turkey, Italy, Spain, Greece, Albania, and Lithuania. Moldova has a joint declaration of intent with Germany regarding the transcription of driving licenses.
