The security situation in Israel remains “extremely volatile,” with unpredictable developments, stated Alexandr Roitman, the Moldovan Ambassador to Israel, during the “Zi de Zi” program on Radio Moldova. The diplomat urges Moldovan citizens to heed the messages and warnings issued by the authorities in Tel Aviv and Chisinau. Additionally, the ambassador recommends avoiding any travel to Israel unless necessary.
“We have been operating in this regime for a year, and the authorities continuously communicate very quickly about the measures and what we need to do at specific times of the day. The situation is currently very volatile, and things can happen anytime. There are public shelters and shelters in people’s homes; this is the only option for people to take cover and wait until these attacks are over,” Roitman stated.
According to the ambassador, the situation in the Middle East shows no distinct signs of stabilization. However, due to the high level of security, the population can feel safe in Israel, as the country possesses the most advanced weapons and air defense systems.
”With regret, this situation will continue. Israel has three levels of security that allow it to intercept missiles of varying ranges, and this system is operational. There is also a global and regional partnership that assists Israel in the event of such attacks, including the USA, the United Kingdom, Jordan, regional actors, and several American military forces concentrated in the region to support Israel’s defense,” Roitman stated.
