Eighteen Moldovan citizens were evacuated from Lebanon, safely arriving at Belgrade airport

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the group included women, children, individuals with medical conditions, and others from high-risk areas.

“The coordinated efforts of the MFA, its crisis cell, our diplomatic missions in Turkey and Serbia, along with support from the Serbian authorities and the International Organization for Migration, made the evacuation possible,” the MFA stated.

The evacuees are safe and will return to Moldova on October 9.

The MFA also announced the planned evacuation of 10 more citizens from Lebanon who have requested assistance.
