The director informed entrepreneurs from Cimislia and Stefan Voda about access to finance through ODA programs

Entrepreneurs from Stefan Voda and Cimislia districts attended a meeting with Vadim Codreanu, the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development director. The event aimed to inform them about economic development opportunities and access to financing through government programs managed by ODA.

“We came to Stefan Voda and Cimislia to get to know entrepreneurs and see what their real needs are, to communicate with them, and last but not least to promote state programs, including the 373 Program, which implies financing at reasonable costs and cost compensation by the state budget through financial institutions. We want to see what other needs they have so that we can include them in the national programs and strategies to support entrepreneurship,” said ODA Director Vadim Codreanu.

The event offered a platform for discussions and interactive sessions, giving entrepreneurs access to vital information for small and medium-sized businesses’ financing and development.

One of the beneficiaries of the Entrepreneurship Development Organization’s programs is Pavel Taranu, the owner of the “Mester Faur” tourist boarding house in Cioburciu village, Stefan Voda district.

“This year, we have applied for the ODA’s Greening Program because we have been operating since 2005. We have a guesthouse in operation, and there is a pressing need to purify all waste, especially sewage. We are right on the bank of the Dniester. We are responsible for what we do. That is why we will first do the greening,” said Pavel Taranu, the “Mester Faur” tourist guesthouse’s administrator.

Olga Girjau, who secured a loan through the Women in Business Program, was among the entrepreneurs participating in the discussion.

“It was a very nice and successful experience. I benefited from the grant and opened a business in my native locality – the village of Festelita. It’s a tailoring workshop that produces clothing with traditional motifs, including embroidery and weaving, made possible with support from the ODA team.

And I recommend young people who want to start their own business to come and participate every time ODA comes here, to collect this information so that they can later apply it and develop beauty here at home,” concluded Olga Girjau, entrepreneur, SRL Modelina-Stil, Festelita village.

Over the past two years, approximately 8,300 entrepreneurs have received support through ODA-managed programs, including advisory services, training, and grant programs, with a total of 2.5 billion lei in non-reimbursable funding provided. With the implementation of various projects, entrepreneurs have created and maintained about 16,760 jobs. Their investments in the economy total approximately 4.8 billion lei.
