Moldovan Olympians and Paralympians will receive their monetary awards! The government has allocated over 33 million lei for this purpose

The government allocated over 33 million lei to award the promised prizes to Moldovan Olympians and Paralympians. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the decision at their Wednesday meeting on October 23.

Twelve athletes who achieved significant performances, along with their coaches, doctors, and masseurs, will receive monetary rewards. Anastasia Nichita and Ion Basoc, who each won silver medals, will receive 2.6 million lei.

Denis Vieru and Adil Osmanov, both bronze medalists, will each receive a reward of 2 million lei. Serghei Tarnovschi and Oleg Cretul, who also secured bronze for Moldova, will receive the same amount.

Marin Robu, who finished fourth in the weightlifting event, will receive a reward of 600,000 lei. Daniela Cociu, Maria Olarasu, Larisa Marinenkova, and Valentin Petic, achieving seventh place in canoeing, para powerlifting, and Greco-Roman wrestling, will each be awarded 300,000 lei. Additionally, Paralympic athlete Gheorghe Spinu will receive a prize of 200,000 lei for his eighth-place finish in the competition.

Coaches will receive amounts equivalent to those awarded to the athletes, while doctors and masseurs will be compensated with sums ranging from 20,000 to 260,000 lei.
