Tomasz Michal Kobzdziej: Moldova could become an EU member by 2030

Polish Ambassador to Moldova Tomasz Michal Kobzdziej considers Moldova’s goal of joining the EU by 2030 realistic, as stated during the “Territory of Freedom” program with Lilia Burakovski on Rlive TV.

“2030 aligns with the timeline Moldovan leaders envision for concluding negotiations, and I think it’s achievable. This timeframe is typical for the negotiation process, and it seems realistic based on my own country’s experience,” Kobzdziej explained.

The ambassador also highlighted Moldova’s advantages in pursuing EU membership.

“Frankly, Moldova’s size is an asset. Smaller countries can often integrate more smoothly. While some view small size as a challenge, it can be beneficial. Many small countries are already part of the EU,” Kobzdziej noted.
