The National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA) is searching former officials of Moldsilva’s Project Implementation Unit as part of a case involving the misappropriation of European funds amounting to millions of lei.
Investigators allege that these officials mismanaged about 10 million lei, funds intended for the building reconstruction in the “Lower Prutul” reserve in Slobozia Mare, Cahul.
Preliminary findings reveal that, of the 7.4 million lei allocated for reconstructing an existing building and designing a garage, the economic agent spent only 3.7 million lei, with approximately 4 million lei allegedly embezzled. The CNA representatives said it.
