On Saturday, more than 120 students from Riscani, Edinet, Ocnita, Donduseni, Drochia, and Soroca gathered in Balti for the launch of the English Access Scholarship Program, joined by Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Cynthia Cook. This two-year program, aimed at students from low-income families, offers intensive English language instruction to enhance their skills and broaden future job and educational opportunities.
The English Access Scholarship Program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, supports young learners across Moldova in building language proficiency that can open doors to better prospects. The program’s opening event celebrated the start of the student’s journey and emphasized the importance of English skills in today’s globalized world.
As these students embark on their English language studies, they gain linguistic tools and a foundation for future success.
