Policemen will ensure public order at polling stations in Moldova for Romania’s presidential elections, which will take place from November 22 to 24.
According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), law enforcement officers will be on duty to support public order and guard the polling stations.
“To ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process, policemen will monitor the escorting of vehicles transporting ballot papers, protecting their integrity as well as that of other electoral documents,” the IGP stated.

Fifty-nine polling stations will open in Moldova: 17 in the northern region, 34 in the central region (including 16 in Chisinau), and eight in the southern region.
Romanian citizens in Moldova can vote on November 22 (12:00-21:00) and November 23 and 24 (7:00-21:00).
