A premiere for our country! Moldova will host the European Judo Championships

For the first time, the Republic of Moldova will host the U-23 European Judo Championships. According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), the event will be in 2025.

Officials announced the decision during this year’s U-23 European Championship held in Pila, Poland. Thus, at the end of the continental competition, the President of the Judo Federation of the Republic of Moldova, Andrei Golban, was handed over the flag of the European Judo Federation (EJU).

“I am happy that we have been given the chance to organize this large-scale continental event, and I hope we can hold it at the highest level. It is a chance to motivate all the children in our country to start judo,” he said.
