The Tree of Life has served as a symbol of tradition, hospitality, and tourism in the Republic of Moldova for ten years

The Tree of Life, the symbol of the Republic of Moldova, celebrated 10 years since its launch. The brand continues to carry the same message, “Discover the routes of life.”

The Tourism Brand was first introduced on November 20, 2014, at the Museum of Ethnography and Natural History by the Moldovan Tourism Agency in strategic partnership with the USAID CEED II project. This national cultural symbol represents Moldova’s traditions, hospitality, naturalness, and authenticity.

Today, the Tree of Life has evolved beyond tourism to become a strategic tool for promoting the country’s image globally.

“Over this decade, the Tree of Life has been a true cultural ambassador, strengthening Moldova’s image on the international stage. With support from international partners like USAID CEED II and efforts by the Moldovan Tourism Agency, which then coordinated the tourism sector, we now have a brand that represents us at the highest level,” noted the Ministry of Culture.

In 2018, the tourism brand became a national brand. Its legal successor, the Investment Agency, registered the Tree of Life trademark nationally and internationally through a WIPO certificate. To date, the agency has received over 60 requests to use the brand.

Annually, the national brand is used to organize and promote events, including participation in specialized exhibitions abroad and other significant activities.
