The Ministry of Defense states that the airspace of the Republic of Moldova was not crossed by any missiles

The National Army’s aerial surveillance systems have not detected any violations of the Republic of Moldova’s airspace. This was the Ministry of Defense’s response following reports of loud noises and explosions heard on Thursday, November 28, in the Ocnita district.

“In response to several social media posts about loud explosions heard in the northern region of the country, allegedly coming from Ukrainian territory, and presumed sightings of missiles, the Ministry of Defense informs that the aerial surveillance systems of the National Army have not detected any violations of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova,” the statement reads.

The Border Police also stated in this regard:
“This morning, between 07:58 and 08:10, in the areas of responsibility of SPF Briceni, SPF OcniÈ›a, and SPF Otaci, near the border crossing points ‘Grimancauti-Vaskivti,’ ‘Birnova-Voloscovo,’ and ‘Otaci-Moghilev Podolsk,’ patrols heard multiple explosions on Ukrainian territory.

According to Ukrainian authorities, the Novodnestrovsk Hydropower Plant was attacked, and Ukrainian air defense systems repelled the assault. Consequently, from 08:05, the Otaci and Unguri border crossing points ceased operations due to air alerts on Ukrainian territory. By 09:20, these checkpoints resumed activity,” the statement added.

We remind readers that four Russian missiles crossed the airspace of the Republic of Moldova on Thursday, November 28, specifically over the village of Birnova in the Ocnita district.
