On Friday, November 29, 2024, 338 rookie and non-commissioned officers solemnly swore their oaths at the “Stefan cel Mare” Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin attended the event and delivered a message of encouragement and support to the new employees.
During the ceremony, 62 and 276 non-commissioned officers, including 119 women, took their oaths. They will work in the national police, border police, rescue and fire brigades, and in the Information Technology Service of the Ministry of Interior.
In her speech, the Minister of Interior Affairs emphasized the significance of this moment in the careers of the new employees, stressing their mission to defend democratic values and contribute to the country’s European path under the sign of fundamental values such as integrity, loyalty, and empathy.

“Today marks the beginning of a journey full of challenges and opportunities for the 338 new MAI employees. Taking the solemn oath is more than an official act. It is a deep commitment to protect, serve, and be a pillar of trust for the citizens of this country,” said Daniella Misail-Nichitin.
Referring to the number of women who have taken the oath of office and who will work in the MIA structures from today onwards, the Minister said that “this diversity reflects our vision for the future – a fair system that promotes equal opportunities and professionalism.”
In closing, Minister Misail-Nichitin assured that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue supporting these young professionals by providing the necessary conditions for their professional growth and ensuring their successful fulfillment of missions for the benefit of citizens and national security.
