On December 2-4, a group of MPs from Chisinau paid a working visit to the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia. During the visit, the legislators met with Zagreb officials who congratulated the Republic of Moldova on the opening of EU accession negotiations and expressed their confidence in active cooperation on the parliamentary platform.
Ina Coseru, the chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration, led the delegation of the Moldovan Parliament. The delegation included MPs Ion Groza and Ion Poia.
In Zagreb, the delegation members met with Sabina Glasovac, the Vice-President of the Croatian Parliament. They discussed strengthening parliamentary dialogue between the two countries and explored opportunities for cooperation and support in Moldova’s European integration process.

The visit agenda also included meetings with Jelena Milos, Chair of the Committee on European Affairs, Ivan Racan, Vice-Chair of the Committee, and Branko Kolaric, Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Moldova.
Croatian officials congratulated the Republic of Moldova on opening EU accession negotiations and expressed confidence in maintaining active and continuous cooperation on the parliamentary platform.
For her part, MEP Ina Coseru informed the interlocutors about the political and social situation in Moldova, the results of the recent referendum on EU accession and presidential elections, and the parliamentary elections to be held next year. She emphasized the strong commitment of the Moldovan people to integration into the European Union and the importance of the diaspora in understanding the values of the European Union in our society.
