Does Peskov ignore Sandu and Recean? Moscow, ready to offer assistance to Transnistria, accuses Chisinau of disengagement

The Kremlin is once again accusing the Chisinau administration of not engaging in resolving the energy crisis on the left bank of the Dniester. Specifically, the spokesperson for the Russian presidential administration, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Moscow officials are ready to offer support to Transnistrians, but there is no intention from the constitutional authorities to get involved.

“Moscow is ready and willing to provide assistance to Transnistria. Of course, actions must be taken to ensure the supply and contract of gas from Moldova. We haven’t heard any statements saying they are ready to do so,” commented Peskov, quoted by TASS.

Maia Sandu has already stated that the constitutional administration will not create obstacles if the Kremlin decides to resume gas supplies to the left bank of the Dniester. At the same time, when asked by the press why Vadim Krasnoselski had not been arrested before his secret visit to Moscow when he crossed the border through Chisinau International Airport, Prime Minister Dorin Recean concluded that the authorities “made the necessary decisions” to stop the “genocide” in Transnistria.
