Energocom Company announced today that it expects electricity consumption on the right bank of the Dniester to decrease by 3 percent on 17 January compared to 16 January. The company expects renewable energy production to double, with the remaining electricity needs covered through imports.
The schedule prepared by Energocom, based on forecasts from producers and distributors, indicates lower consumption during peak hours.
Meanwhile, renewable energy stations and parks will double their energy production on 17 January compared to the previous day.

Energocom has secured commercial capacity at the border with Romania for imports under bilateral contracts and through exchanges to meet domestic demand.
Since 1 January 2025, the right bank of the Dniester has not received electricity from the Kuchurgan power station following Gazprom’s cessation of gas deliveries to Moldovagaz. As a result, domestic production and imports now cover the required consumption.
