(VIDEO) Recean spoke with Krasnoselski after the latter returned from Moscow: The objective was to temper the spirits

Dorin Recean spoke with the separatist leader after Vadim Krasnoselski returned from Moscow. The Prime Minister revealed this during the “In Depth” program on ProTV, explaining that he wanted to “calm things down.”

Recean reiterated that Moldova’s energy issues stemmed from Russia. He also said that Moscow convinced the separatist officials Chisinau was responsible for the gas shortage.

“He did not offer a solution and suggested to the Dniester administration that Moldova is blocking gas supplies. My goal in this discussion was to calm tensions and prevent the situation from escalating,” Recean explained.

The Prime Minister also noted that the separatist leader did not share details of his activities in Moscow or the meetings he attended. “I didn’t sit around telling stories,” Recean added.

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian hesitated to comment on whether he knew about Recean’s meeting with the Tiraspol leader. However, he emphasized that the Prime Minister is his superior and does not report to him on his activities. He also pointed out that previous talks between the heads of the executive and Transnistrian leaders had taken place.
