Moldova ranks among the world’s top 10 producers and exporters of walnuts. During the 11th National Walnut Growers Conference, President Maia Sandu thanked farmers for their achievements and emphasized the importance of breaking the export monopoly.
“In recent years, the sector has grown, partly because we have eliminated the monopoly on walnut exports, allowing more companies to sell on international markets. The success of this sector means more jobs, investment, and greater prosperity for Moldova,” said Maia Sandu.
