Gherasimov: Moldova and Denmark Discuss EU Accession and Reform Agenda

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov met with a delegation from the Danish Parliament’s European Affairs Committee, led by Brigitte Klintskov Jerkel. Their discussions focused on Moldova’s accession negotiations, key goals for 2025, necessary reforms, and internal political developments.

Gherasimov highlighted Denmark’s strong support for Moldova’s European integration and stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and trust.

“Denmark firmly supports our path toward the European Union. We are working to deepen our cooperation, friendship, and mutual trust with this EU member state,” Gherasimov stated.

She also emphasized the need to accelerate reforms and advance the European agenda in 2025.

The Danish delegation also met with President Maia Sandu in Chisinau. Their discussions covered Moldova’s EU accession process and measures to strengthen Moldova’s resilience against external challenges.
