Moldova’s Ambassador to Hungary Presents Credentials, Strengthens Bilateral Ties

Moldova’s Ambassador to Hungary, Mihail Barbulat, presented his letters of accreditation to Hungary’s President, Tamas Sulyok, during an official ceremony at the Sandor Palace.

According to Moldova’s Embassy in Hungary, the two officials discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, emphasizing the growing political and diplomatic dialogue between Moldova and Hungary.

Their talks also focused on strengthening economic cooperation, expanding institutional collaboration, and advancing the Moldovan-Hungarian Strategic Partnership, with particular attention to Moldova’s European integration process.

President Tamas Sulyok reaffirmed Hungary’s strong support for Moldova’s European path and reiterated his country’s commitment to the EU enlargement process.

Ambassador Mihail Barbulat expressed gratitude for Hungary’s support and highlighted Moldova’s interest in strengthening expertise exchange and organizing training programs for public officials in areas relevant to European integration.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing political, economic, social, and cultural ties between Moldova and Hungary while promoting new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.

President Sulyok assured Hungary’s full support for the ambassador’s activities and pledged to facilitate the successful fulfillment of his mandate in Budapest.

Following the accreditation ceremony, Ambassador Barbulat laid a wreath at Heroes’ Square in Budapest.
