Moldova and Greece Strengthen Cultural Cooperation

The Republic of Moldova and Greece are enhancing their cultural cooperation. Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan discussed the opportunity to sign a memorandum during his visit to Athens.

The cooperation will focus on restoring built heritage and promoting Baukultur. In an official meeting, Prodan and his Greek counterpart, Lina Mendoni, discussed exchanging best practices and organizing joint projects.

The first step in promoting and restoring cultural heritage could be in September.

“This initiative aims to strengthen bilateral relations and facilitate the transfer of expertise in cultural heritage conservation. We could take the first step as early as this September when Moldovan experts and architects will participate in a forum for specialists in historical monument restoration,” Prodan said.
