The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) confirms that a Moldovan citizen was injured in the Gaza Strip. In a statement, the MFA stated that it is closely monitoring the situation related to the incident. According to the institution, the injured Moldovan is a member of a UN mission.
“The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv and the Permanent Mission to the UN in New York are in contact with authorities and international partners to clarify the circumstances. The MFA will provide more details as we obtain additional information,” the institution reported.
A Moldovan citizen was seriously injured during an Israeli attack on the United Nations headquarters in the Gaza Strip on March 19, according to a UN press release, as reported by IPN.

The statement specifies that as a result of the strikes carried out by an Israeli tank, a UN employee, a Bulgarian citizen, was killed, and six other employees were injured. The injured individuals are from Moldova, the United Kingdom, North Macedonia, France, and Palestine.
