Authorities in Moscow forced a group of students to participate in a pro-Gutsul protest outside the Moldovan embassy, BBC Russia correspondent Ilia Barabanov reported on social media.
Barabanov questioned whether the students even knew where Moldova was on a map, let alone the autonomous region of Gagauzia.
“In Moscow, officials took a group of students to the Moldovan embassy for a protest in support of the Bashkan of Gagauzia. I wonder if any of them can even point out Moldova, especially Gagauzia, on a map,” Barabanov wrote.
