Her Majesty Margareta, Crown Custodian of Romania, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu visited Chisinau on April 6–7 to promote Moldova’s economic development, deepen bilateral cooperation, and support European integration.
Romanian Ambassador to Chisinau Cristian-Leon Turcanu welcomed the royal couple upon their arrival at Chisinau International Airport.
President Maia Sandu received Her Majesty and Prince Radu at the State Residence. Prime Minister Dorin Recean and his wife, Stela Recean, attended the meeting, along with Inga Grosu, wife of Speaker Igor Grosu, Ambassador Cristian-Leon Turcanu, and Emilia-Delia Dragulescu.

This visit marks the Royal Family’s 22nd trip to the Republic of Moldova in the past two decades. Over the years, King Mihai, Crown Custodian Margareta, Prince Radu, Princess Sofia, and Princess Maria have visited numerous Moldovan cities and towns, including Chisinau, Balti, Orhei, Soroca, and Ialoveni.
