Moldova will receive €3.7 million in funding to implement 13 projects focused on strengthening research and innovation, promoting climate change adaptation, and reducing pollution.
The Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme Monitoring Committee approved the funding during its third meeting, held on April 9–10, 2025, in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The projects will involve central and local public authorities with non-governmental organizations.

The decision followed the evaluation of applications submitted under the second call for project proposals. The Committee approved 52 initiatives—28 standard and 24 small projects—allocating €46.6 million in European Interreg funding.
