The next Parliament, each of the 101 MPs, will have a historic mission, to guarantee that Moldova is ready for accession and that it wants to be a member state of the European Union, said the executive director of the Institute for European Policies and Reforms Iulian Groza, quoted by IPN.
Groza said that three years have passed since Moldova submitted its application for membership, during which concrete steps have been taken, and today we are in the middle of the screening exercise, which will end in autumn.
Negotiations on accession to the EU by chapters follow, a moment that will mark Moldova’s entry into the decisive phase of the accession to the European Union.

“This path requires more than European support. Our national commitment is also needed. This means more than government. It means national responsibility,” pointed out Iulian Groza.
Ahead of the parliamentary elections, which will take place on September 28, Groza called on the political parties to present their clear view on how Moldova should be ready for EU accession and to show the people with whom they can contribute to the accession negotiations so that these advance seriously in the next four years.
