Moldovan Citizens Must Obtain ETA-IL Before Traveling to Israel

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel informs that starting now, Moldovan citizens must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) before traveling to Israel.

Key Details:

  • ETA-IL is mandatory for short visits (up to 90 days) for tourism or business.
  • The application is online only via Israel’s official government platform.
  • Fee: 25 Israeli shekels (approximately 120 Moldovan lei).
  • Validity: 2 years or until the passport expires (whichever comes first).
  • Passport requirement: Must be valid for at least 90 days from entry into Israel.

Important Notes:

  • ETA-IL does not guarantee entry — final approval is at the discretion of border control officers.
  • Visitors planning to stay longer than 90 days or travel for non-tourism purposes (such as work, study, or medical treatment) must obtain a visa.
  • Holders of valid Israeli visas in categories B1, B3, B4, A1–A5 are exempt from the ETA-IL requirement.
