Igor Grosu Joins the EU Speakers Conference to Shape Europe’s Future

Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu announced today that he is participating in the EU Speakers Conference, where European leaders are discussing the future of Europe. The event is in Budapest, hosted by the Hungarian Parliament.

“The EU Speakers Conference has begun in Budapest, where, alongside European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and my counterparts from over 40 European countries, we will discuss the future of Europe,” Grosu stated.

Presidents of EU national parliaments, the European Parliament, and candidate countries are addressing shared priorities for the continent’s future. The first session focuses on the European Union’s long-term direction, while the second explores regionalism and protecting European cultural identity. Participants will adopt a final declaration.

In addition to attending the conference, Grosu plans to meet with several EU parliamentary leaders and Moldovan citizens living, studying, or working in Hungary.

The conference offers a platform for exchanging ideas, experiences, and best practices on the role of national parliaments in the EU and strengthening interparliamentary cooperation.
