During a visit to Berlin, President of the Moldovan Parliament Igor Grosu met with President of the Bundestag Julia Klockner to discuss Moldova’s progress toward European integration, the regional security situation, and efforts to counter hybrid threats.
Grosu emphasized Moldova’s strong partnership with Germany, noting its long-standing support for developing Moldovan institutions, modernizing educational and healthcare infrastructure, and advancing the country’s energy independence, IPN reports.
“Berlin remains a valuable and reliable partner for the Republic of Moldova and will continue to support us on our path to EU membership. Our goal is clear: to open all negotiating chapters by the end of the year—and Germany stands with us,” Grosu said.

He also expressed gratitude for Germany’s consistent support over the past three decades and welcomed the expansion of direct air connections between Moldova and several German cities.
