Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu participated in the Civil Society Gala, an annual event organized by the EU Delegation to Moldova to recognize the contributions of non-governmental organizations in promoting democratic values and sustainable development.
During the event, Grosu presented the Gender Equality Promotion Prize to the organization Motivation, which has spent more than 25 years supporting women with disabilities, advocating for equal opportunities, and combating violence.
“I express my deep gratitude to all NGOs for their essential role in building a more inclusive and just society. Only together, working hand in hand, can we create a fairer, more inclusive, and more prosperous Moldova,” stated Grosu.
Several other outstanding organizations received awards for their impact:
- Henri Capitant – Stronger Governance Award
- Paideia (Floresti) – Stronger Society Award
- Pino (Molovata Noua) – Stronger Economy Award
- EcoContact – Sustainable Development and Green Energy Award
- National Network of Local Youth Councils – Resilience to Disinformation Award
The event highlighted the crucial role of civil society in strengthening democracy, ensuring equality, and fostering sustainable progress in the Republic of Moldova.
