Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu described the European Council’s recent decision as an unprecedented recognition of Moldova’s reform efforts and a powerful signal that all 27 EU member states fully support the country’s European integration.
“The leaders of the 27 EU member states reaffirmed their strong support for Moldova’s European path during the European Council meeting,” Grosu stated on Friday. “They congratulated our country for the pace of accession reforms and invited the Council to move to the next stage of the negotiation process—namely, the opening of the first group of chapters on fundamental values.”
He emphasized that the decision represents a historic moment for Moldova. “This is an important signal that Moldova is not alone on its European path. We enjoy the full backing of all 27 EU member states.”

Grosu concluded with a message of unity and encouragement:
