Moldova expands its presence in Switzerland by opening an honorary consulate in Zurich

The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Zurich, Switzerland, opened in the presence of members of the local diplomatic and business communities. Secretary of State Carolina Perebinos emphasized that Switzerland has been—and remains—a reliable partner of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

“This symbolic moment represents not only the opening of a new representation in one of Europe’s most dynamic economic and cultural centers, but also our deep commitment to strengthening relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Swiss Confederation,” declared the Secretary of State, as quoted in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Carolina Perebinos expressed her belief that the new honorary consulate will actively contribute to this mission by strengthening bilateral dialogue, encouraging investment, and promoting Moldova’s potential.
