Moldovan Ambassador Attends U.S. Independence Day Reception. What was discussed at the event?

Moldova’s Ambassador to the United States, Viorel Ursu, attended an official reception hosted by the U.S. Department of State to mark Independence Day, celebrated annually on July 4. During the event, Ambassador Ursu held discussions with U.S. Senator Marco Rubio.

According to Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conversation focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between Moldova and the United States, particularly in the areas of security cooperation and the shared goal of maintaining peace and stability in Eastern Europe.

“I expressed my deep gratitude for the efforts made to bring peace to our region, acknowledging how difficult it is to stop a war. It was also a moment of reflection on the strong partnership between Moldova and the United States,” said Ambassador Ursu.
