Tiraspol’s so-called Supreme Soviet announced plans to extend the state of emergency in the Transnistrian region until August 9, 2025.
Authorities first imposed the measure on December 11, 2024, following a sharp reduction and eventual halt in natural gas supplies. Since then, they have extended the state of emergency six times, most recently on June 11, 2025.

Tiraspol officials cite ongoing threats to the region’s energy and economic stability as justification for the extension, pointing to the continued impact of the gas crisis.
They will officially approve the extension in the coming days.
