Parliamentary elections in Moldova, scheduled for next September, will mark a decisive moment for the country’s pro-European future and Romanians living beyond the Prut River, said Romanian Senate President Mircea Abrudean during a meeting with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu in Bucharest.
Abrudean reaffirmed Romania’s commitment to supporting Moldovan authorities in their efforts to strengthen democracy, national unity, and European integration.
“I welcomed Moldova’s Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, to the Senate. Our two countries enjoy a strong partnership, and we continue to work together on vital bilateral infrastructure projects currently under implementation. Next September’s elections represent a key moment for the pro-European destiny of Romanians from across the Prut. I fully support Moldova in its fight for democracy, unity, and accession to European structures. We stand alongside them,” said Mircea Abrudean.
