Defense Ministry Denies Claims of Moldovan Soldiers Killed in Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense denied the information circulating on Telegram and TikTok channels linked to pro-Russian groups, which claimed that “ten soldiers and officers of the National Army had been in Ukraine” and that “four reportedly died and two others were wounded” following a Russian forces attack. The institution labeled the claims as false and urged citizens to seek information exclusively from official sources, IPN reports.

The Military Media Center stated that the narrative spread on Telegram and TikTok represents “a clear falsehood, deliberately disseminated to incite panic, undermine trust in state leadership, and sow confusion ahead of elections.”

The Ministry of Defense affirmed that no soldiers from the National Army participate in military operations outside the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
