Tourists and enthusiasts exploring the country’s attractions can use the EkoApp Moldova app, which provides information on cultural sites, historical monuments, and protected natural areas. You can download the app for free from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, IPN reports.
Andrei Chistol, State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, explains that the app is crucial for promoting sustainable tourism and building trail networks. He adds that the app will help users discover and rediscover Moldova’s nature reserves, hiking routes, and new tourist attractions.
Interim Director of the National Tourism Office Ana Sandra says EkoApp Moldova not only digitalizes tourist routes but also educates users. She calls the app a complete model of sustainable tourism. It features videos, informative texts, and augmented reality elements to instruct and engage new generations. Ana Sandra also highlights that the app benefits not only individual travelers but also families who want to explore Moldova interactively.

The app helps users explore Moldova—from Orheiul Vechi, Plaiul Fagului, and Codrii Moldovei to the country’s central and southern wine and craft regions. The app also supports small entrepreneurs.
The National Tourism Office created this initiative under the Ministry of Culture’s oversight. The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs funds the project through its Polish Aid development cooperation program. The National Tourism Office implements the project in partnership with Poland’s HumanDoc Foundation.
