Lawyer Lucian Rogac, who represents controversial businessman Vladimir Plahotniuc, has reacted after the National Integrity Authority (ANI) accused him of holding unexplained wealth.
“Coincidence or not, the appearance of this act comes shortly after I became vocal in the public space and expressed critical views towards certain state institutions, in my role as a lawyer and in defending the interests of my clients. I will use all legal means to demonstrate the unfounded nature of the recent findings and to ensure the principle of legal certainty,” Rogac stated.
The lawyer also underlined that ANI had already checked his assets for the same period back in 2021, when an irrevocable finding was issued without any violations being identified.
