After the ceremony, the organizers held a Moldovan-Romanian-Japanese economic meeting at the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), in partnership with Arhipelago Interactive (Romania) and the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation (Japan), under the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) project. More than 50 business representatives from the three countries participated, engaged in B2B meetings, and explored new cooperation opportunities.
During the meeting, Mihai Bilba presented Moldova’s economic profile, highlighting strategic investment sectors and government support for foreign investors. Japanese participants also learned about Romania’s economic potential and the regional advantages of Eastern Europe.
The collaboration emphasizes the wine sector. Since 2024, Moldovan wines have strengthened their presence in the Japanese market through the Wine of Moldova Japan office in Tokyo. Participation in major international trade fairs, including Japan’s Food Export Fair 2025, and targeted promotional activities increased export volume by 31% and export value by 60% in the first seven months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
The Moldovan Investment Agency supported the event by promoting the country as an attractive investment destination and aiding the internationalization of Moldovan companies.
