VinOpera 2025, with arias and famous composers, in a place emblematic for the Republic of Moldova – Castel Mimi

The public voted the VinOpera International Classical Music Festival, through the Wine Travel Awards, as one of the world’s top five eno-gastronomic events. The festival returns to Castel Mimi on September 13 for its 8th edition. The Constantin Mimi Foundation organizes the event and promises an exceptional musical program.

Famous arias and composers at VinOpera 2025

VinOpera 2025 will showcase celebrated arias and duets from Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito, Bellini’s La Sonnambula, Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, Verdi’s La Traviata, and Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. The program also includes The Gramophone Waltz by the late composer Eugen Doga.

The musicians of the Camerata Municipal Orchestra and soloists of the Bucharest National Opera – Sorana Negrea, Alexandru Constantin, Georgiana Dumitru, and Bogdan Mihai – will bring the show to life under the baton of conductor Cristian Spataru. The evening will culminate when all artists perform the famous “Brindisi” toast scene from Verdi’s La Traviata.

The wine of the evening – Castel Mimi’s 9 Muses Feteasca Alba

VinOpera unites high-quality music and wine at Moldova’s iconic Castel Mimi, the country’s only wine castle. This year, Castel Mimi will present the wine of the evening: 9 Muses Feteasca Alba sparkling wine, part of a collection inspired by and dedicated to art. The spumante recently won a Gold Medal at the prestigious Berliner Wine Trophy.

VinOpera – a cultural platform with social impact

VinOpera serves as a cultural platform that advances social projects in the region through the Constantin Mimi Foundation.

“VinOpera is one of the most important cultural platforms in Moldova, allowing us to attract valuable partners – companies, embassies, international organizations, and public authorities. Through this platform, the Foundation supports impactful social projects, such as Support and Hope: A project for the development of children with disabilities and their families, dedicated to the rehabilitation and inclusion of children with special needs in Anenii Noi district,” said Cristina Frolov, President of the Constantin Mimi Foundation.

The Constantin Mimi Foundation organizes the festival with support from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova and the Romanian Cultural Institute in Chișinău “Mihai Eminescu,” in partnership with Mastercard, Orange, and Castel Mimi.
